Through the national Progressing Disabilities Services (PDS) model, their Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNTs) deliver family-centred services that empower children and young people with complex needs to achieve their full potential.&nbsp;Role Overview&nbsp;As a Senior Grade Psychologist, you will take a leading role in providing a range of high-quality psychology services to children and young people (0–18 years) and their families. Working within a dynamic interdisciplinary framework, you will deliver expert assessments and interventions through a family-centred approach. This senior position involves clinical leadership, service development, and the supervision and mentoring of staff grade psychologists, assistant psychologists, and students. Your work will span various settings, including clinics, schools, homes, and the community.&nbsp;&nbsp;Key Responsibilities&nbsp;<ul><li>Plan and manage a complex caseload, providing expert assessments and interventions.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to staff grade psychologists, assistant psychologists, and students.&nbsp;</li><li>Take a lead role in service planning, innovation, and development within the psychology discipline.&nbsp;</li><li>Delegate tasks appropriately and support the development of junior staff members.&nbsp;</li><li>Foster a culture of evidence-based practice, contributing to research and quality improvement initiatives.&nbsp;</li><li>Represent the psychology discipline at internal and external meetings and conferences.&nbsp;</li><li>Act as a mandated person under the Children First National Guidelines, upholding the highest standards of professional and ethical practice.&nbsp;</li></ul>Qualifications and Experience&nbsp;Essential Criteria:&nbsp;<ul><li>Recognised university degree or diploma (QQ1 level 8 equivalent) obtained with 1st or 2nd class honours in which Psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject, and which meets the requirements of the Psychological Society of Ireland to work as a Clinical Psychologist.&nbsp;</li></ul>AND&nbsp;<ul><li>Have an Irish post-graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychology.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul>OR&nbsp;<ul><li>An equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction validated by the Department of Health&nbsp;</li></ul>AND&nbsp;<ul><li>Demonstrate competence in the Care Group/s applied for.&nbsp;</li></ul>AND&nbsp;<ul><li>Must be a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) or a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul>AND&nbsp;<ul><li>Applicants must have at least five years’ satisfactory post-graduate experience in professional psychology, no more than three years of which was spent in gaining the post-graduate professional qualification and no less than two years full-time spent in post qualification experience as a professional psychologist.
