Contract: Full-Time, Permanent role, 35 hour working week

Excel Recruitment is delighted to partner with a state-of-the-art residential home in the heart of Clondalkin village to recruit a Therapy Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to work as part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team, providing essential assistance to Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in delivering high-quality therapy services to residents, supporting mobility, function, and independence in a modern, person-centred care environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver an effective and efficient physiotherapy assistance service to residents on site.
- Assist in transferring residents to and from therapy sessions.
- Prepare treatment areas, including gym and rehab setup.
- Support therapists during resident assessments by assisting with movement, positioning, and stabilisation.
- Provide assistance during treatment interventions, particularly where two or more therapists are required.
- Carry out prescribed exercise programmes with residents and document all interventions accurately.
- Mobilise residents and maintain detailed records of progress.
- Perform passive range of motion and assisted movement exercises with residents, as directed by the supervising therapist.
- Maintain and monitor therapy consumables and equipment.
- Communicate effectively and appropriately with residents, families, and multidisciplinary colleagues.
- Adhere to confidentiality and resident information management standards.
- Provide personal care assistance to residents as required.
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant 3rd Level Qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Post Injury Therapy, Rehabilitation, or equivalent.
- 1-2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Compassionate and patient-centred approach to care.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of Therapy techniques, patient safety, and infection control.
- Excellent organisational and documentation skills.
