Excel Recruitment is recruiting a Staff Grade Psychologist to join a Child & Adolescent Primary Care Psychology Service in North Dublin.

The service provides accessible, evidence-based psychological support to children and adolescents within a compassionate, inclusive and family centred Primary Care setting.

The post may be based in Balbriggan, Swords, Portmarnock, Kilbarrack or Coolock. Locations are flexible within reason, and the final base will be agreed with consideration for service requirements and, where a significant factor, the successful candidate's commute.

A small amount of travel between service locations may occasionally be required during the working day. Access to a car would therefore be helpful, but it is not essential.

As a Staff Grade Psychologist, you will:

• Join a welcoming, child-centred team with a strong focus on family involvement.
• Be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team
• Have regular supervision, CPD support, and peer learning.
• Contribute to early intervention and life-changing outcomes for children aged 0-18 with a range of developmental needs.
• Carry out comprehensive psychological assessments and develop tailored intervention plans.
• Deliver evidence-based therapies for children with neurodevelopmental conditions including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and sensory or emotional needs.
• Contribute to Individual Family Support Plans (IFSPs) and provide guidance to families.
• Offer psychoeducation, counselling, and care planning to empower caregivers.
• Take part in MDT case discussions, joint sessions, and service development initiatives.
• Maintain high-quality documentation in line with professional standards.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Doctorate or equivalent in Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychology and/or Chartered Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychologist through PSI.
• Candidates qualified overseas must provide evidence of validation by the Department of Health at the time of application.
• Eligibility for registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland.
• Demonstrable knowledge of a range of Psychological assessment and therapeutic models
• Experience delivering psychological interventions to children and families
• Excellent clinical assessment, formulation, and therapeutic planning skills
• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied caseload.
