Social Care Worker – Temporary, Project-Based Role

We are currently seeking Social Care Workers to join a temporary, project-based initiative based in Clontarf, Dublin, with some activity across nearby satellite services.

There may also be occasional requirements to work from CRC locations in Hartstown, Ongar and Firhouse.

This is an exciting opportunity for Social Care Workers who are passionate about supporting adults with disabilities to achieve meaningful outcomes, exercise choice and greater participation in their communities.

About the Role

The role will involve engaging with adults with disabilities to understand their individual circumstances, aspirations, strengths, support needs and goals.

Assessments will be pre-arranged and coordinated by CRC, with a strong focus on gathering meaningful information through person-centred engagement and conversations.

The assessment process will focus on:

• Individual life aspirations and future goals
• Community participation and inclusion
• Supports required to achieve meaningful outcomes
• Identification of unmet needs and opportunities for development

We are particularly interested in Social Care Workers who take a progressive, person-centred and strengths-based approach to supporting adults with disabilities and who are committed to promoting choice, autonomy, independence and inclusion.

The Ideal Candidate

We are particularly interested in candidates who:

• Share CRC's values of person-centredness, respect, collaboration, courage, quality and stewardship
• Have experience working with adults with disabilities
• Understand the principles of New Directions and rights-based service delivery
• Have strong skills in engagement, communication, interviewing and facilitation
• Are confident in gathering meaningful information from adults with diverse communication needs
• Can build positive, trusting and respectful relationships with individuals
• Demonstrate a progressive and strengths-based approach to disability support
• Are committed to promoting independence, choice, inclusion and meaningful participation
• Have the ability to recognise and respond to individual needs, aspirations and opportunities for development

Key Requirements

Applicants must:

• Hold the relevant qualification required to work as a Social Care Worker
• Coru Registration
• Have a full driving licence and access to a car
• Be resident in Ireland and hold one of the following immigration permissions/statuses:
  • EU Passport
  • Stamp 1G
  • Stamp 2
  • Stamp 4
  • Stamp 4D
  • Stamp 5
  • 4 EUFam
• Be willing to undergo Garda Vetting
• Provide International Police Clearance if they have lived outside Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16
