Separated Children Seeking International Protection

Location: South Dublin

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: 36-48 hours per week


Cpl Healthcare is recruiting on behalf of a residential care provider for a Social Care Team Leader to join a service supporting Separated Children Seeking International Protection.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Social Care professional to step into a leadership role within a child-centred, trauma-informed residential service. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of the home, mentor staff, and help create a safe, supportive environment where young people can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead shifts and support the day-to-day operation of the service.
  • Promote safe, child-centred and trauma-informed practice.
  • Support, supervise and mentor Social Care Workers.
  • Oversee care planning, risk management and record keeping.
  • Build positive relationships with external professionals and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, safeguarding requirements and organisational policies.
  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.

Essential Requirements

  • Recognised Social Care qualification.
  • CORU registration as a Social Care Worker.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in residential care or a similar social care setting.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Full driving licence and eligibility to work in Ireland.
  • Satisfactory Garda Vetting.
