  • Uphold infection control, child‑protection, and patient‑safety standards in line with HSE and Hiqa guidelines.

Requirements

  • IMC registration at registrar‑level (Paediatrics/NCHD) or equivalent, with active status.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in paediatrics or equivalent acute paediatric/children’s‑hospital work.
  • Basic paediatric life‑support certification (APLS or equivalent) is highly desirable.

  • Confidence managing undifferentiated and acutely unwell children.
  • Leadership and supervisory ability with junior doctors and nurses.
  • Sensitivity and professionalism when dealing with children and families.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Commitment to patient safety and continuous learning.

  • Flexible working arrangements and short‑ to medium‑term contracts.
  • Opportunity to work in major paediatric and children’s hospitals in Ireland.
