Consultant Paediatric Ophthalmologist & Strabismus Specialist

Inspire Medical and working with an established, rapidly growing private ophthalmic group in Ireland to hire a Senior Consultant Paediatric Ophthalmologist & Strabismus Specialist to lead and scale its nationwide paediatric offering.

With an immense volume of untreated patient demand across Ireland and a currently compact internal service, this position represents a rare "service builder" opportunity. The successful candidate will be a high-energy, ambitious clinician given the autonomy, resources, and clinical infrastructure to establish a premier private paediatric eye service.

Operating out of state-of-the-art facilities, this post offers a modern private practice structure free from public hospital on-call burdens, backed by full administrative support and an active clinical trials department.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications:

• Senior consultant profile with a high-energy, entrepreneurial "builder" attitude
• Proven, active surgical competence in paediatric ophthalmology and complex strabismus procedures
• Completed a recognized sub-specialty clinical fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus, backed by strong consultant-level experience
• Right to Work: EU Passport / EU Right to Work is required
• Eligible for Specialist Registration (or already registered) with the Medical Council of Ireland (IMC)
