Agency Director of Nursing required - Dublin 10

Cpl Healthcare in Partnership with the HSE are recruiting a full time Agency Director of Nursing for an older persons care facility in Dublin 10

Requirements:

• Must be currently registered with NMBI
• 10 years post registration Nursing experience
• 5 years management experience at CNM2 level or higher
• Hold a post registration management qualification
• Excellent clinical, leadership, managerial and administrative knowledge

Details of Role:

• The appointed person will be the Person in Charge (PIC) of ensuring that residential care provided to older persons in the unit is of a high quality and attained as effectively and efficiently as possible within available resources.
• The Director of Nursing will be responsible for the overall management of the Nursing service for the Older Person in line with HSE Corporate Governance. S/he will provide strategic leadership, operating in accordance with the policies of the HSE and in collaboration with other professionals and service managers in achieving service goals.
• The Director of Nursing has a pivotal role in creating the vision and culture for the service. S/he has overarching responsibility for service planning, coordinating and managing activity and resources and will lead the implementation of change. S/he will empower staff to support older people to continue to exercise independence.
• S/he will have a pivotal role in providing leadership for the service.
• The post holder will lead and support the service in response to the emerging needs of an increasing frail elderly population. · The post holder will ensure the appropriate allocation of staffing resources to best meet the needs of the older persons in Cherry Orchard
• The Director of Nursing will provide the professional governance to the nursing and care teams in Cherry Orchard, ensuring the delivery of hight quality evidence based care.
