Consultant Psychiatrists
Locations: Opportunities across multiple regions in Ireland
We are supporting the appointment of Consultant Psychiatrists across several psychiatric service areas, including General Adult, Child & Adolescent (CAMHS), Old Age Psychiatry, Liaison Psychiatry and Psychiatry of Intellectual Disability. These roles are based within acute mental health and community settings and form part of established multidisciplinary service pathways.
Key Responsibilities
• Clinical leadership within the mental health team and service
• Assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning for individuals presenting with psychiatric conditions
• Management of inpatient and/or community caseloads depending on service structure
• Participation in multidisciplinary team meetings, case reviews and governance activity
• Supervision of NCHDs and clinical support to MDT colleagues
• Participation in rostered on-call commitments where required
• Contribution to service development, quality improvement and clinical audit initiatives
Requirements
• Specialist Registration with the Irish Medical Council in Psychiatry (or eligibility to transfer to the Specialist Division)
• Experience working within multidisciplinary mental health teams
• Strong clinical judgement with a collaborative and patient-centred approach
• Commitment to continuous professional development
Salary

Salary range
- €214,000 - €257,000 per year
