Job Title: Senior Physiotherapist-Primary care adult Location: Monksland PCC, Athlone, Co. Roscommon Contract Type: Full-time Contract Working Hours: 35 hours per week Salary: Aligned with HSE pay scales for the appropriate Senior grade.Excel Recruitment are recruiting a Senior Physiotherapist or Staff Grade Physiotherapist for a Primary Care team in Athlone, Co. Roscommon.The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience, treating Musculoskeletal/ Ortho/ Trauma patients.<ul><li>You will benefit from regular supervision, peer support, and an outstanding manager who fosters both professional development and staff wellbeing.</li><li>A varied adult caseload offering experience across MSK, neuro, mobility, and falls prevention.</li><li>Regular supervision, CPD, and career development support.</li></ul>As a Senior Physiotherapist within the Primary Care Adult Service, you will work with a broad range of adult clients in the community. This diverse caseload includes: (MSK) conditions, falls prevention and mobility issues, neurological rehabilitation and general adult rehabilitation needs.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Act as lead clinician in assigned areas and manage a complex clinical caseload.</li><li>Provide comprehensive assessment, goal setting, treatment planning, and review for adults with MSK, neuro, mobility, and falls-related presentations.</li><li>Contribute to and lead on service development projects relevant to adult primary care.</li><li>Support and supervise staff grade Physiotherapists and students as appropriate.</li><li>Deliver physiotherapy interventions across varied settings including clinics and home visits.</li><li>Work collaboratively with clients, families, carers, and the wider MDT.</li><li>Document all client interactions in line with professional and departmental standards</li><li>Promote health and wellbeing with an emphasis on prevention and independence.</li><li>Participate in case conferences, review meetings, and multidisciplinary discussions.</li><li>Contribute to professional standards, best practice, and CPD.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Hold a Physiotherapy qualification recognised by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU</li><li>Minimum of three years of post-graduate Physiotherapy experience, with at least one year at Senior level (preferably in a community or rehabilitation setting).</li><li>Strong experience in, Rehabilitation, falls prevention, MSK, and/or Neurological Physiotherapy.</li><li>Experience in managing limited resources and high workloads</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership and initiative.</li><li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Full clean driver's license and access to a car for community visits.</li></ul>How to Apply:If you are a Senior Physiotherapist seeking more information or if you wish to apply, please contact Charlene Cooke by email at or by phone at +353 89 9455139EXCLCHAR
