About the Role

We are recruiting a skilled Urgent Care Registrar for our high-volume Urgent Care Centre (UCC) in Ireland. In this full-time position, you will deliver acute care as part of a multidisciplinary team, focusing on patient safety, diagnosis, and management in line with HSE and IMC standards. This role suits doctors advancing in Emergency Medicine, General Practice, or Acute Care training.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage acute presentations including minor injuries, infections, abdominal pain, respiratory issues, and pediatric emergencies.
• Perform procedures such as suturing, wound care, plastering, abscess drainage, and basic imaging interpretation (X-ray, ultrasound).
• Triage patients using Irish Urgent Care pathways (e.g., INAS scale) and escalate to secondary care when required.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Participate in on-call rotas (1:4–1:6 frequency), quality improvement audits, and teaching junior staff/medical students.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safeguarding, and data protection (GDPR) protocols.
