Addiction Counsellor

📍 Location: Sligo

🕒 Contract: Full-Time, 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm

💰 Salary from €47,793 - €53,997 per annum

Cpl Healthcare have partnered with a leading non-profit organisation in the North-West working with a wide variety of service users. Our client works to safeguard, meet the needs of and promote the welfare of service users through the provision of quality services and advocacy, and provides direct support to individuals who have experienced, or who are currently experiencing homelessness.

The Role

One Post is based in Sligo Town Covering Counties Sligo & Leitrim.

One Post is based in Letterkenny town Covering County Donegal.

Housing First is a model of housing that provides housing with wrap around supports to those who have been long- term homeless and who have a history of complex trauma and rough sleeping.

Housing First is recovery lead, using harm reduction approaches to meet people at their own pace.

Responsibilities

· The Addiction Counsellor will use their skill set to build rapport, give counsel, advocate and liaise on behalf of clients both within the clients' homes and the wider community.

· Using a trauma informed approach to work one to one with individuals and support their emotional regulation.

Requirements

· Recognised qualification or post – graduate qualification at Level 8 in counselling, addiction counselling or psychotherapy

OR

· Qualification at Level 7 or higher on the QQI Framework in a human science discipline (medical, psychological, social, educational)

· Have full accredited membership or be eligible for registration with one of the following: IACP, ACI or one of the five sections within ICP.

OR

· Be a full member of the Clinical or Counselling Psychology Division of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI)

· Full Irish driving licence, and access to a car
