Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting a Staff Grade Physiotherapist for a 4 day-week position based in Tullamore Primary Care Centre. This contract is available until November 2026, with a strong likelihood of extension.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Physiotherapist who enjoys delivering meaningful, patient-centred care within the community, while benefiting from a manageable 4-day working week and the security of a long-term contract.

You will work as part of a collaborative Primary Care team, supporting adults across a varied caseload and helping patients to improve mobility, function, independence, and quality of life.

Purpose of the Role

As a Staff Grade Physiotherapist in Primary Care, you will provide high-quality assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and education to adults presenting with a range of MSK, mobility, rehabilitation, and functional needs. You will play an important role in supporting patients to remain well, independent, and active within their community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for adults within a Primary Care setting.
  • Develop and deliver evidence-based treatment and rehabilitation plans tailored to each patient's goals.
  • Manage a varied caseload, including MSK presentations, mobility issues, falls prevention, post-acute rehabilitation, and functional decline.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure joined-up, patient-centred care.
  • Provide advice, education, exercise programmes, and onward recommendations to support long-term outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional, CORU, and HSE standards.
  • Contribute positively to service delivery, quality improvement, and the continued development of the Physiotherapy service.

Summary:

  • A long-term contract until November 2026, with a strong view to extension.
  • A desirable 4-day working week, offering excellent work-life balance.
  • A supportive Primary Care team environment with opportunities to develop clinical confidence and autonomy.
  • Exposure to a varied community caseload, ideal for building strong generalist Physiotherapy experience.
  • The opportunity to make a genuine difference to patients' independence, mobility, and day-to-day quality of life.

Requirements:

  • BSc in Physiotherapy or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • CORU registration, or eligibility to register.
  • Previous experience in Primary Care, MSK, rehabilitation, older persons, or community services is advantageous.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team.
  • Full clean driving licence and access to own transport may be required depending on service needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Staff Grade Physiotherapist who is looking for a stable, rewarding Primary Care role with flexibility, variety, and a strong likelihood of extension.
