Role: Staff Grade Physiotherapist - Primary Care

Location: Mullingar Primary Care Centre, Co. Westmeath
Contract Type: Full-time agency role
Salary: Aligned with HSE Staff Grade Physiotherapist Pay Scale

Excel Recruitment is currently seeking a Staff Grade Physiotherapist to join a multidisciplinary, Primary Care team based in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within a community setting, working alongside experienced healthcare professionals while supporting adults to improve their mobility, independence, and overall quality of life.

The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload and play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred Physiotherapy services within the community.

Purpose of the Role

As a Staff Grade Physiotherapist, you will provide assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and education to adults presenting with a broad range of physical and functional needs. You will work closely with patients, families, carers, and members of the multidisciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes.



Key Responsibilities

  • Complete comprehensive Physiotherapy assessments for adults within a Primary Care setting.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient goals.
  • Manage a varied caseload including- Musculoskeletal (MSK) condition, Mobility and balance difficulties, Falls prevention, Post-hospital rehabilitation, Functional decline and age-related conditions.
  • Deliver individualised exercise programmes and rehabilitation interventions.
  • Provide education and advice to patients, families, and carers.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to support integrated care planning.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with CORU, HSE, and professional standards.
  • Participate in service development, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing professional development activities.


Requirements

  • BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • CORU registration, or eligibility to register with CORU.
  • Previous experience in Primary Care, rehabilitation, community services, older persons services, or MSK Physiotherapy is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team.
  • Full clean driver's licence and access to own transport may be required
