Social Worker

Excel Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join a busy statutory team in North Dublin on an agency basis. This is a full-time ongoing position offering the opportunity to work within a supportive and professional environment supporting children and families.

Location: North Dublin

Hours: Full Time (35 hours per week)

Contract: Ongoing Agency Assignment

HSE PayScales Rate

Duties of the Agency Social Worker:

• Deliver a professional social work service to children and families in line with statutory responsibilities
• Conduct child protection and welfare assessments in accordance with Children First guidelines and organisational procedures
• Develop, implement and review care plans, child protection plans and family support plans
• Work collaboratively with families, carers and multidisciplinary professionals to achieve positive outcomes
• Support children in care and coordinate family access where appropriate
• Maintain accurate case records and prepare professional reports for court, case conferences and reviews
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, interagency collaboration and supervision
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, national standards and Tusla policies

Agency Social Worker Requirements:

• Professional Social Work qualification recognised by CORU
• Must be registered with CORU
• Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience in a relevant setting
• Experience in statutory child protection or children in care services is desirable
• Full driving licence and access to own transport
• Strong assessment, communication and report writing skills
