Location: Roscrea, Co. Tipperary
Contract Type: Specified Purpose Contract
Hours: 35 hours per week (Full-Time)
Salary: €72,407 – €83,520 (dependent on relevant experience)

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Social Worker Team Leader to join Adult Disability Services in Roscrea, Co. Tipperary. The successful candidate will provide leadership, supervision, and clinical oversight to ensure the delivery of a high-quality social work service for adults with intellectual disabilities.
This role will play a key part in service development, safeguarding, multidisciplinary collaboration, and supporting individuals and families to achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the delivery of social work services within a multidisciplinary team.
- Provide professional supervision, guidance, and support to social work staff.
- Ensure compliance with national safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Act as a Designated Officer for safeguarding matters where required.
- Support service development initiatives and continuous quality improvement.
- Work collaboratively with individuals, families, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Promote best practice and person-centred approaches across services.
- Contribute to change management and service enhancement projects.
Essential Requirements
- Recognised Social Work qualification (NQSW or equivalent).
- Current registration with CORU and evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience, including significant experience working with people with disabilities.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and service development skills.
- Demonstrated experience in safeguarding and adult protection.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and multidisciplinary team-working skills.
- Full clean driving licence and access to a car.
- Valid permit to work in Ireland.
Desirable
- Completion of Safeguarding Adults at Risk of Abuse training.
- Designated Officer training in line with Safeguarding Vulnerable Persons at Risk of Abuse (2014) National Policy and Procedures, or willingness to complete same.
