Job Description - Social Care Worker (SCW)
Location: Primrose Co. Westmeath
Salary: €38,000-€56,000
Reports to: Social Care Leader / Deputy Manager / PIC

About the Role

Orange Recruitment is seeking qualified Social Care Workers for established disability and children's residential services in Longford. Candidates should be eligible for, or working towards, CORU registration. Full guidance on Section 38/91 pathways is provided.

Essential Requirements

• Level 7 Social Care (or equivalent)

• Experience in disability, day, or residential services

• Strong knowledge of HIQA and person-centred care

• Full clean driving licence

• Eligible to work in Ireland

• CORU registered or in process

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality daily support in residential/day service settings

• Assist with personal care, life-skills development, and emotional support

• Promote independence, dignity, and meaningful choice

• Deliver structured activities and community participation

• Support communication, social, vocational, and personal development

• Maintain a safe, supportive environment and household routines

• Work rostered shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleepovers
