Social Care Worker

Excel Recruitment are recruiting a Social Care Worker on behalf of Tusla for their Child in Care team in Co. Sligo.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated service supporting children in care.

Location: Connaught House, Co. Sligo

Team: Child in Care

Grade: Social Care Worker

Hours: 39 hours per week (full-time)

Contract: On-going

Duties of the Social Care Worker include:

• Supporting children and young people in care placements
• Developing and implementing care plans to meet individual needs
• Carrying out key working, assessments, and interventions
• Promoting the welfare, safety, and development of children in care
• Working effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Maintaining accurate records and reporting in line with Tusla policies

Social Care Worker must:

• Hold a recognised qualification in Social Care (or equivalent)
• Have previous experience working with children and families in a care or safeguarding setting
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be committed, resilient, and child-centred in practice
