Job Title: Senior Paediatric Physiotherapist - Primary Care
Location: Balbriggan Primary Care Centre or Tonlegee Primary Care Centre
Contract Type: Ongoing Agency Contract
Working Hours: Fulltime, 35 hour contract Monday-Friday
Salary: Aligned with HSE pay scales for the appropriate Senior grade.
Excel Recruitment have a fulltime position for a Senior Paediatric Physiotherapist within a Primary Care team in Balbriggan. The team can be flexible regarding base, with the option of working across Balbriggan Primary Care Centre or Tonlegee Primary Care Centre.
You will work as part of a supportive MDT alongside experienced Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists and other Primary Care professionals.
About the Role
As a Senior Paediatric Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in assessing, treating, and supporting children and young people in the community. You will contribute to early intervention, functional goal setting, and collaborative care planning with families and the wider MDT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive paediatric physiotherapy assessments and interventions for children with a range of developmental, neurological, musculoskeletal and complex needs.
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans, goals and home programmes in partnership with children, parents/guardians and carers.
- Work collaboratively with the MDT (including OT and SLT) to deliver integrated, child- and family-centred care.
- Provide advice, education and support to families, schools, early years settings and other relevant stakeholders as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service activity reporting in line with Primary Care standards.
- Engage in clinical supervision, peer learning and CPD to further develop your paediatric expertise and evidence-based practice.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives to enhance outcomes for children and families.

Requirements:
- BSc in Physiotherapy (or equivalent recognised qualification).
- CORU registration as a Physiotherapist (in good standing).
- Previous paediatric physiotherapy experience at Senior level (community/primary care experience is highly desirable).
- Strong clinical reasoning, assessment and treatment planning skills across a paediatric caseload.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating leadership and initiative.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with children and families.
- Full clean driver's license and access to a car may be required for community visits.

Salary range
