About the Role
Cpl Healthcare, on behalf of a leading disability services provider, is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Residential Service Manager / Person in Charge (PIC) to lead and manage a designated residential centre in Galway.
This is a key leadership role with responsibility for the delivery of high-quality, person-centred services to people with disabilities and acquired brain injuries. The successful candidate will ensure full compliance with HIQA regulations and relevant legislation, while fostering a culture of excellence, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership and operational management of the residential service
Act as the registered Person in Charge (PIC) for the designated centre
Ensure services meet the needs, wishes, and rights of service users
Maintain compliance with HIQA standards and all relevant legislation
Promote safeguarding and protection of all residents
Lead, support, and develop a large multidisciplinary staff team
Manage resources effectively, including staffing, budgets, and facilities
Identify and manage operational risks and implement corrective actions
Promote a positive workplace culture aligned with organisational values
Work closely with Regional Management and key stakeholders
Participate in an on-call rota as required
Essential Requirements
Relevant third-level qualification (NFQ Level 8) in Health or Social Care Management (or equivalent)
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management/supervisory role in health or social care
Strong knowledge of HIQA regulations and compliance requirements
Full, clean driving licence
Proven leadership and people management experience
Excellent organisational, communication, and IT skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Desirable Criteria
Experience working with people with Acquired Brain Injury
Mental health training or experience
CPI and Safeguarding training (or willingness to undertake)
Experience designing and implementing support programmes

Salary range
- €66,125 - €70,345 per year
