Senior / Staff Grade Occupational Therapist – Paediatric Primary Care

Location: Community Healthcare Network (CHN), Ballyfermot
Base: Inchicore Primary Care Centre
Duration: 3 months initially, with the possibility of month-to-month extension

The Role

We are also happy to consider Staff Grade Occupational Therapists, particularly candidates with some experience in paediatrics, acute children’s services and/or disability services, either in Ireland or overseas.

The successful candidate will work with children and families across the CHN, with opportunities to provide assessment and intervention in a variety of community settings. The role may involve travel to schools and patients’ homes, as well as to CHN Lucan / Adamstown Primary Care Centre to co-facilitate group work and clinics.

Key Requirements

  • Registration with CORU as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Relevant Occupational Therapy experience, preferably in paediatrics, children’s services, disability services or acute paediatric settings.
  • Experience gained in Ireland or overseas will be considered.
  • Strong written and spoken healthcare English.
  • A full driving licence and access to a car are not essential for the role; however, candidates should be comfortable with travelling around the CHN to schools, homes and other service locations where required.
  • Resident in Ireland and hold one of the following: EU passport, Stamp 1G, Stamp 2, Stamp 4, Stamp 4D, Stamp 5 or 4 EUFam.
  • Willing to undergo Garda Vetting.
  • International Police Clearance if you have lived outside Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16.
