Position: General Practitioner

Location: Carlow (onsite)

Inspire Medical are delighted to partner with an established primary care practice in Carlow to hire an experienced, patient-focused General Practitioner to lead the delivery of primary care and nursing home medical services. This key position involves driving the practice's Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Programme and contributing to the expansion of HSE-funded primary care initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• Specialist Registration in General Practice with the Irish Medical Council (IMC)
• Medical degree (MB BCh BAO, MBBS, or equivalent)
• Fully eligible to provide services under the General Medical Services (GMS) scheme
• Minimum 5 years post-training experience in Irish General Practice, with proven expertise managing GMS patient populations
• Demonstrated experience leading HSE Chronic Disease Management (CDM) programmes and chronic disease pathways
• Full clean driving licence and access to personal transport for site visits

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to both GMS and private patients
• Deliver ongoing clinical oversight and perform scheduled/ad-hoc medical visits to partner nursing homes
• Lead and manage the HSE Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Programme, ensuring compliance and meeting targets
• Implement HSE/GMS initiatives, preventative care, and integrated care pathways
• Maintain thorough clinical documentation and participate in audits, quality improvement, and governance activities
• Work alongside nursing, administrative, and allied health staff to ensure continuous, high-quality care
