Are you an experienced clinical or healthcare leader looking for an opportunity to shape and develop addiction services while making a meaningful difference to individuals, families and communities?
Cpl Healthcare is partnering with a long-established and professionally accredited social enterprise to appoint a Director of Addiction Services, leading Residential and Community-Based Addiction Services throughout County Clare.
Reporting to the CEO, the Director will provide strategic, operational and clinical leadership across addiction treatment and recovery programmes. This is a pivotal role within the organisation, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to influence service strategy, strengthen clinical practice and support the continued development of high-quality, person-centred services.
With responsibility for the Residential Services Manager and Community Services Manager, you will lead and support multidisciplinary teams while promoting a culture of quality, collaboration, accountability and innovation.

- Strategic leadership and service development
- Clinical governance and quality assurance
- Leadership and development of multidisciplinary teams
- Risk management and regulatory compliance
- Service innovation and continuous improvement
- Stakeholder and partnership engagement
- Promotion of recovery-oriented and trauma-informed practice
About You
You will be an experienced leader with a strong clinical background and a genuine commitment to delivering excellent addiction treatment and recovery services.
Candidates must hold:
- A Level 8 NFQ degree, or equivalent, in Counselling, Psychotherapy, Psychology or a related discipline.
- Full professional accreditation in a relevant field.
- Accreditation to provide clinical supervision.
- At least 3–5 years' post-qualification experience in senior leadership or service management within addiction treatment, mental health, psychotherapy, psychology or a related healthcare setting.
- Experience in facilitating group clinical supervision.
- Experience in strategic planning, service development, risk management and innovation.
- Strong people leadership and team development skills.
- A thorough understanding of clinical governance, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
- A full, clean driving licence and the ability to meet relevant insurance requirements.
A postgraduate qualification in Leadership, Management, Addiction Studies or a related field is desirable.
