We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Consultant Cardiologist to join a progressive multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive cardiovascular care. This role is ideally suited to a non-invasive cardiologist with a strong interest in the diagnosis, management, and prevention of cardiovascular disease.



Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist cardiology services across inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic settings.
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of cardiovascular conditions, including heart failure, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, hypertension, and preventive cardiology.
  • Interpret and oversee non-invasive cardiac investigations, including echocardiography, stress testing, Holter monitoring, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and other cardiac diagnostics.
  • Work closely with General Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Primary Care, and other specialties to provide integrated patient care.
  • Participate in the General Internal Medicine (GIM) on-call rota, where applicable.
  • Support the development of cardiology services, including community and integrated care pathways.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.


Requirements

  • Specialist registration (or eligibility for specialist registration) in Cardiology.
  • Experience in non-invasive cardiology and the management of a broad range of cardiovascular conditions.
  • Competence in cardiac imaging and non-invasive diagnostic investigations.


What We Offer

  • The current Consultant salary scale ranges from €238,221 to €286,151 for a 37-hour week, with any additional work paid separately.
