Clinical Nurse Manager 3/ Clinical Lead

Location: Leitrim

Salary: Dependant on Experience (€66,487 to €75,356)

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

In-person interviews are scheduled to take place week commencing 7th of September.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a nurse manager with strong clinical governance, quality assurance, and regulatory expertise who is passionate about delivering person-centred care and supporting operational teams to achieve excellence.

The Role

As Clinical Lead, you will provide clinical oversight, guidance, and support across a range of residential, respite, and supported accommodation services. Working closely with regional leadership teams and Persons in Charge (PICs), you will help ensure services meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

You will be a clinically focused leader with a passion for service quality, governance, and professional practice. You will be able to influence and support teams, build strong stakeholder relationships, and drive continuous improvement across complex healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational clinical leadership across disability services.
  • Support Persons in Charge in maintaining compliance with HIQA regulations and national standards.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and promote evidence-based practice.
  • Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and support to service leaders and frontline teams.
  • Monitor service quality, risk management, safeguarding, and governance processes.
  • Support audits, inspections, action planning, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Coach and develop staff to build clinical competence and service excellence.
  • Collaborate with families, multidisciplinary teams, statutory agencies, and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Minimum 3 years' management experience within health or social care services.
  • At least 2 years' experience within intellectual disability services.
  • Strong understanding of HIQA regulations, governance, safeguarding, and quality standards.
  • Proven leadership and people management capabilities.
  • Experience supporting service compliance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Strong communication, decision-making, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • Valid working rights for Ireland.
