Clinical Nurse Manager

Excel Healthcare Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) for a well-established nursing home in Portlaoise, Co. Laois.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated nurse leader to step into a management role within a growing and supportive nursing home group.

Location: Portlaoise, Co. Laois

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: €47,000 - €50,500 DOE

Duties of the Clinical Nurse Manager:

• Lead and support the nursing team to ensure delivery of high-quality, person-centred care
• Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of the unit
• Ensure full compliance with HIQA standards, policies, and procedures
• Supervise and support nursing and care staff, promoting best practice
• Manage medication administration and clinical documentation
• Conduct audits and implement continuous quality improvements
• Liaise with residents, families, GPs, and the multidisciplinary team
• Assist with staff training, induction, and performance management
• Support the management team with rostering and workforce planning
• Act up in the absence of the Assistant Director of Nursing when required

The Clinical Nurse Manager must:

• Be a Registered General Nurse with a valid NMBI PIN
• Have a minimum of 2-3 years post-registration experience
• Have previous management or supervisory experience (desirable)
• Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Have experience in care of the elderly (preferred)
• Have a strong understanding of HIQA standards and compliance
• Be motivated to progress within a clinical leadership role
