Clinical Nurse Manager 2 - Nurse Practice Development

North Dublin | Permanent | Full-Time | 37.5 Hours per Week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Manager 2 - Nurse Practice Development (CNM2 NPD) to join a leading acute Private Hospital in Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse leader with a passion for education, quality improvement, evidence-based practice and digital transformation. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing nursing standards, supporting staff development and leading the implementation and optimisation of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) while embedding best practice across clinical services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and support evidence-based nursing practice.
  • Lead and participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Analyse audit findings and implement improvement plans.
  • Support the planning, implementation and evaluation of the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Act as an EHR Superuser and liaison between nursing teams and the digital team.
  • Ensure nursing documentation standards comply with HIQA, JCI, NMBI and JAG requirements.
  • Design, deliver and evaluate education programmes using blended learning approaches.
  • Facilitate clinical skills training in classroom and clinical settings.
  • Coordinate ongoing in-service education programmes including IV medications, venepuncture and cannulation, CVAD and nursing practice initiatives.
  • Provide professional and clinical leadership in nursing practice development.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional excellence.
  • Support service innovation and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in committees, working groups and multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Support the collection, analysis and reporting of quality indicators.
  • Lead the implementation and monitoring of Nursing Quality Care Metrics.
  • Support staff in interpreting audit findings and translating them into practical improvements.

Requirements

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
  • Significant post-registration clinical experience.
  • Previous experience in nurse education, practice development, quality improvement or clinical leadership.
  • Experience supporting or implementing Electronic Health Records (EHR) is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of clinical governance, accreditation standards and evidence-based practice.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience facilitating education programmes and mentoring staff.
  • Strong organisational, project management and analytical skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and service excellence.

Salary range

  • €60,000 - €70,000 per year
