Clinical Nurse Manager 2 / Person in Charge (PIC)
Location: Leitrim
Salary: Dependent on Experience (€57,522 to €72,685)
Contract: Full Time, Permanent

The Role
You will have overall responsibility for the operational, clinical, and regulatory management of a designated residential service. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, drive service quality improvements, and ensure the highest standards of care, safety, and governance are maintained.
You will be a proactive and resilient leader with a strong commitment to person-centred care. You will be able to inspire and develop teams, build collaborative relationships, and successfully manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and management to a residential service supporting adults with intellectual disabilities.
- Act as the designated Person in Charge (PIC) and ensure full compliance with HIQA regulations and relevant legislation.
- Lead, coach, and develop staff to promote a positive, high-performing culture.
- Oversee risk management, safeguarding, incident management, and quality assurance processes.
- Manage resources effectively, including staffing, budgets, and service operations.
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders.
- Drive continuous service improvement and promote best practice across all aspects of care delivery.
- Provide professional and clinical leadership to ensure safe, evidence-based nursing care.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Full clean driving licence.
- Minimum 3 years' management experience in health or social care.
- At least 2 years' experience working within intellectual disability services.
- Strong knowledge of HIQA standards, regulations, and the role of Person in Charge.
- Proven people management and leadership experience.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience managing resources, budgets, and operational performance.
- Valid working rights for Ireland.
