Clinical Nurse Manager 2 – ICU

CPL Healthcare is delighted to partner with a Cork city flagship hospital to recruit a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) – for Intensive Care.

The hospital delivers a comprehensive range of specialties including cardiology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics and spine, emergency care, and outpatient services. This is a a pivotal leadership position, responsible for the coordination and management of clinical activity and resources within the ICU and will include supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality, evidence-based nursing care, promoting a culture of open communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement and providing expert clinical leadership, guidance, and support to the multidisciplinary team.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Registered General Nurse with the NMBI
• Minimum of five years’ full-time post-registration clinical experience, including at least 3 years years in critical care or a related area at CNM level.
• Recognised post-registration qualification in Critical Care Nursing or Intensive Care Nursing desireable
• Management qualification desirable, or a willingness to undertake one
• Up-to-date knowledge and experience of theatre and ICU practices
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong commitment to patient safety, clinical governance, and quality improvement
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-acuity environment requiring sound judgement and rapid decision-making
• A clear vision for service development and innovation
