
Clinical Nurse Manager 2
An exciting new opportunity has arisen with a leading intellectual disability service provider for a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 for the Dublin 8 area.
The role involves managing a team of nurses, social care workers and healthcare assistants who provide care for men and women with intellectual disabilities and include medical support in some cases.
This is a full time permanent contract working a 37.5 hour week. It is a Monday to Friday post working supernumerary. The successful candidate will be required to work 1 Saturday or 1 Sunday every 6 weeks and work the odd late shift to ensure staff are fully supported.
The successful candidate will enjoy lots of autonomy in this post while being fully supported by the CNM3 and senior management.
Salary: Up to date HSE Pay scales from €62078 to €78443 LSI
Requirements:
- Be on current register as maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland and preferably possess the RNID qualification
- A qualification in management is strongly desirable
- Minimum at least 3 years post registration experience of which 2 must be in the speciality of Intellectual Disability.
- Management Qualification and 3 years management experience (or recorded evidence of a supervisory role, PPIM)
- The CNM2 will ensure that services are provided in a person-centred manner and will have a leading role in service planning, coordinating and managing resources within the day service
- Strong Managerial, administrative and clinical skills.
- Demonstrate evidence of continued commitment to professional development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer skills essential (to include Word and Excel)
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of relevant health Act Regulations, New Directions standards and all other relevant legislation.
- Extensive knowledge of Safeguarding Vulnerable Persons at Risk of Abuse and Neglect Policy & Procedures 2015
- Have the ability to encourage the opportunity for learning through programmes such as QQI courses.
- Full clean driving manual driving licence and willingness to drive own car as part of duties.
