Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1) - Emergency Department | Cork
Cpl Healthcare is delighted to partner with a leading acute hospital in Cork to recruit a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1) for its Emergency Department.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse ready to take the next step in their leadership career within a fast-paced and dynamic clinical environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day management of the Emergency Department, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and patient-centred care while providing clinical leadership to the nursing team.
Working closely with senior management and the multidisciplinary team, the CNM1 will be responsible for maintaining high clinical standards, supporting staff development, and ensuring the efficient operation of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and operational support within the Emergency Department
- Coordinate and oversee the delivery of safe, effective and evidence-based patient care
- Support, supervise and mentor nursing staff
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures and professional standards
- Assist in workforce planning, rostering and resource management
- Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement and patient safety
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Support staff training, professional development and performance management initiatives
Requirements
- Active NMBI registration
- Minimum of 3 years' recent acute nursing experience
- Previous Emergency Department experience is essential
- Prior leadership experience or a management qualification is desirable
- Excellent clinical assessment, prioritisation and decision-making skills
- Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team within a busy clinical environment
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centred care
Salary & Benefits
- HSE-aligned CNM1 salary scale: €57,780 - €68,046
