Cardiothoracic Registrar

Doctors are invited for the position of Cardiothoracic Registrar to assist in the provision of a comprehensive cardiothoracic service to the HSE

The post-holder will provide quality care to all patients, including pre- and post-operative management of patients in ICU and the wards, assisting in theatre, and an on call commitment (off site on call). Registrars will be required to actively engage in continuing professional education and development in accordance with organisational / professional requirements.

Essential Criteria:

1. Medical degree, MBBS or equivalent.

2. Current relevant Irish Medical Council Registration

3. Experience at Cardiothoracic Registrar level in an acute Hospital setting.

4. BCLS/ACLS trained

5. Demonstrate the importance of evidenced based practice and clinical effectiveness.

6. Proven ability to work as an excellent team member and to communicate effectively
