Job: Therapy AssistantLocation: North Dublin Contract: Full-Time, Permanent role, 35 hour working week Salary: Commensurate with experienceExcel Recruitment is delighted to partner with a leading Transitional Care Unit in North Dublin to recruit a Therapy Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis.This role offers an excellent opportunity to work as part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team, providing essential assistance to Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in delivering high-quality therapy services to patients.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-supported Multidisciplinary team to make a real difference in patients' lives.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Deliver an effective and efficient physiotherapy assistance service on an inpatient basis.</li><li>Assist in transferring patients to and from therapy sessions.</li><li>Prepare treatment areas, including gym and rehab setup.</li><li>Support therapists during patient assessments by assisting with movement, positioning, and stabilisation.</li><li>Provide assistance during treatment interventions, particularly where two or more therapists are required.</li><li>Carry out prescribed exercise programmes with patients and document all interventions accurately.</li><li>Mobilise patients and maintain detailed records of progress.</li><li>Perform passive range of motion and assisted movement exercises.</li><li>Maintain and monitor therapy consumables and equipment.</li><li>Foster open communication and a strong working relationship with supervising therapists.</li><li>Communicate effectively and appropriately with patients, families, and multidisciplinary colleagues.</li><li>Adhere to confidentiality and patient information management standards.</li><li>Provide personal care assistance to patients as required.</li></ul>Essential Requirements:<ul><li>Relevant 3rd Level Qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Post Injury Therapy, Rehabilitation, or equivalent.</li><li>1-2 years' experience in a similar role.</li><li>In the process of obtaining CORU registration (desirable)</li><li>Compassionate and patient-centred approach to care.</li><li>Strong communication and teamwork skills.</li><li>Knowledge of Therapy techniques, patient safety, and infection control.</li><li>Excellent organisational and documentation skills.</li></ul>How to ApplyFor further details or to apply, please contact Charlene Cooke at Excel Recruitment on or 089 945 5139.EXCLCHAR
