Salary: Aligned with HSE Payscale for Senior Cardiac Physiologist Are you a Senior Cardiac Physiologist who can independently scan and report Echocardiography and carry out Loop-recorder, pacemaker, ICD and Biventricular device interrogation &amp; follow-up?Excel Recruitment is delighted to partner with one of North Dublin's most respected and progressive hospitals to recruit a Senior Cardiac Physiologist.This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled and ambitious Cardiac Physiologist to join a dynamic and expanding cardiology department, working alongside a dedicated team of Consultant Cardiologists and multidisciplinary professionals.You will play a key role in delivering high-quality cardiac diagnostic services, driving innovation, and contributing to the continuous growth of the department.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Cardiac Physiologist, you will work across all areas of the department, performing and reporting on a broad range of cardiac investigations including:<ul><li>Transthoracic Echocardiography: Independent scanning and reporting to BSE/EACVI/ARDMS standards.</li><li>ECGs: Recording, interpretation, and escalation of abnormal findings.</li><li>Loop-recorder, Pacemaker, ICD &amp; Biventricular Device Interrogation and Follow-up: Including home monitoring and Heart Rhythm Ireland database management.</li><li>24-hour Holter Monitoring: Patient setup, analysis, and interpretation.</li><li>Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring: Patient setup and reporting.</li><li>Event Recording: Hook-up, analysis, and interpretation.</li><li>Perform procedures and highlight abnormal findings for review.</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and sterilisation of diagnostic equipment.</li><li>Maintain accurate patient records and databases.</li><li>Provide reassurance and information to patients pre- and post-procedure.</li><li>Support and mentor junior physiologists and students.</li><li>Participate in CPD, departmental audits, and quality improvement initiatives.</li><li>Respond effectively to medical emergencies, including performing CPR.</li><li>Adhere to all Health &amp; Safety regulations and hospital protocols.</li><li>Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory support (angiograms, PCI, and emergency procedures).</li><li>Tilt-Table testing and patient monitoring during procedures.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Experience<ul><li>A BSc (Hons) in Clinical Measurement Science / Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualification.</li><li>Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar hospital-based role, including at least 1 year of independent Echocardiography experience.</li><li>IICMP-recognised qualification (or eligibility for same).</li><li>Demonstrated competence in device interrogation and rhythm analysis.</li><li>Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Proven ability to work both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.</li><li>A proactive approach to service development and embracing change.</li></ul>You'll be joining an organisation known for clinical excellence, cutting-edge technology, and a strong culture of professional growth and support.Benefits include:<ul><li>Competitive salary and benefits package (aligned with HSE payscale).</li><li>Flexible working patterns to promote work-life balance.</li><li>Defined Contribution Pension Scheme.</li><li>Full paid maternity leave.</li><li>Annual retention bonus (Years 1-3).</li><li>Relocation package for suitable candidates.</li><li>Generous annual leave entitlement.</li><li>Access to continuous professional development and funded training.</li><li>Supportive leadership and a collaborative team environment.</li><li>Opportunity to work alongside leading Irish medical consultants in a respected and expanding facility.</li></ul>If you are an experienced Senior Cardiac Physiologist seeking to take the next step in your career within a forward-thinking, supportive, and innovative hospital, we would love to hear from you.What you need to do now:For more information about this opportunity, please reach out confidentially to Charlene Cooke by email or by telephone 089 9455139
