Registered Nurses Band 5 Cardiac Cath Lab

The Cardiac Catheter Lab at Southmead Hospital, North Bristol NHS Trust is moving from strength to strength. Would you like to be a part of this exciting developing service?

We are seeking nurses with a strong clinical background, who are enthusiastic to develop new clinical skills and have a positive impact on our patient’s experience.

You must enjoy working in a busy environment and be a true team player. The role can be physically demanding and you must be able to stand for long periods of time in the lab wearing lead protection. Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills are essential.

Experience in an acute setting or theatre post registration is preferred. Training will be provided to support your Cardiac cath lab /cardiology career with specific competencies to support your professional development.

You will join our team of experienced nurses who work in our Cardiac Cath lab. We provide emergency and elective cover for patients including primary angioplasty, cardiac devices and diagnostic angiogram.

Our service provision is from Monday – Friday 08:00-18:00, 08:00-20:00. On call service is not being provided at this time.

Our team of experienced nurses have a varied job plan: they are trained to assist the Cardiologists in a scrub role for all procedures and undertake circulating duties. They participate in the post procedure recovery and health education of the patient.
