Job Description

We are one of the largest specialist mental health and learning disabilities trusts in the country, with an annual income of £320m and a workforce of some 6,700 staff operating from around 100 sites in Durham, Teesside, North Yorkshire and York and Selby. We provide a range inpatient and community services to 2m people living in County Durham, the Tees Valley, Scarborough, Whitby, Ryedale, Harrogate, Hambleton and Richmondshire. We also provide additional specialist services to other parts of Northern England.
We deliver our services by working in partnership with eight local authorities and clinical commissioning groups, a wide range of voluntary organisations, as well as service users, their carers and the public. An exciting opportunity has arisen in Scarborough Camhs for a registered mental health, Children's or Learning Disability Nurse to join a busy Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team, providing evidence based care and treatment within a recovery framework for young people with mental health difficulties.
You will need to be enthusiastic and highly motivated with experience in assessments and delivery of care for patients in a community setting.
You will have access to high quality supervision within the team and work closely with other professionals in the multi-disciplinary team to provide care coordination responsibilities for a defined caseload. You will be supported in further training and development associated with the role.
The post requires good IT skills and the ability to work flexibly and autonomously as well as contributing to the MDT.
A strong understanding and commitment to team work is vital.
The post holder is required to travel independently and a lease car scheme is in operation. Whilst the post is based in Scarborough you will, at times, be expected to travel within Ryedale and Whitby areas.
