The Trust provides a full range of local hospital services across its different sites, and specialist services from King’s College Hospital (KCH) site in Camberwell and the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) site in Bromley.
King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, part of King’s Health Partners Academic Health Science Centre (AHSC) is one of the UKs largest and busiest Trusts with a turnover of nearly £1billion. Across 5 hospital sites, we have 1.5million patient contacts per year and more than 11,500 staff.
The Critical Care Unit at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) site in Bromley is seeking motivated and dedicated nurses. The busy, purpose-built 10-bedded unit cares for complex, critically ill patients from a variety of specialities, giving you the fantastic chance to advance your clinical skills. Specialities include both medical and surgical patients, trauma patients, orthopaedic patients, cardiology patients, neuro patients and renal patients.
You will have a minimum of 6 months acute experience in a ward setting.
As part of Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, we facilitate an education programme to develop our Band 5 nurses. All of our nurses undertake an Introduction to Critical Care course, to give you a good understanding of the speciality. We also provide you with the opportunity to undertake a variety of modules (to include Physiology for Nursing, Intensive Care Nursing and Mentorship) at level 6 or level 7, which may be put towards a BSc or MSc in nursing.
King’s Health Partners Academic Health Sciences Centre (AHSC), a pioneering collaboration between King’s College London, Guy’s and St Thomas’, King’s College Hospital and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. As one of only five accredited AHCS in the country, King’s faces exciting challenges as it develops to bring together an unrivalled range and depth of clinical and research expertise to improve patient care.
