Registered Nurse – Renal - Band 5 Up to £30,112 + Excellent NHS Benefits

You will be based in and around our state-of-the art £450m Southmead Hospital with a basic salary £24,214 - £30,112(AFC Band 5) dependent on experience/service, plus excellent NHS benefits.

Join our dedicated team with a first class reputation as a centre of excellence. The Richard Bright Renal Unit is a regional renal and transplant center with six Haemodialysis Satellite Units across the south west area, 8B is our renal inpatient ward with an Acute Haemodialysis Unit and Community Dialysis Services.

We care for patients who present with various types of the following kidney diseases including:

• acute kidney injury

• established renal failure

• patients undergoing both haematology and peritoneal dialysis

• patients undergoing kidney and kidney/pancreas transplantation

• patients on renal replacement therapy with other related health problems

We are looking to recruit a band 5 nurse to join our unit and will provide a bespoke rotational package to help support your areas of interest. Your role will cover three main areas – nephrology, transplantation and dialysis. Many of our patients are admitted via our own emergency admission pathway and you will be required to deliver acute medical and surgical care. You will be supported every step of the way as we help you to develop advanced assessment and patient management skills.

For the ambitiously minded nurse we can provide a career pathway for you to train to become a nurse practitioner or a nurse specialising in transplantation, haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, diabetes, tissue viability or infection prevention and control.
