Ward Sister/Charge Nurse Bear Ward Acute Cardiothoracic We have an opportunity for a strong and dynamic clinical leader to join our Cardiac Team on Bear Ward at Great Ormond Street Hospital. You will demonstrate expert clinical advice, take responsibility for effective leadership, supporting the Ward Team and ensure the provision of high quality care to patients and families.
Bear offers specialist inpatient care for neonates and children with congenital and acquired heart disease; conditions include pre and post-surgical care, heart transplant, thoracic, inherited cardiovascular disease, pulmonary hypertension. Children on the Berlin heart and Heart Ware devices are also cared for on Bear ward. Based in a new state of the art clinical building, Bear offers a child friendly environment featuring 16 en-suite single rooms and two four bedded bays.
Candidates need to be driven and motivated to ensure our patients and their families receive the highest possible levels of care. You need to have excellent clinical knowledge and demonstrable leadership qualities and experience.

The successful applicant will have support and opportunity to work closely with a team of Ward Sisters/Charge Nurses who lead and manage other Wards within the Heart and Lung Directorate.
