Clarity Healthcare is recruiting a Staff Nurse for a Nursing home based in Dublin.
The role would preferably require a full time day nurse, but is open to flexibility around this.
The hourly rate will be decided based on experience. There will be a 15% allowance on Sundays.
Shift pattern are:
07:45 – 20:00 for day times
19:45-08:00 for nights.
Ideally working every second weekend, 3/4 shifts per week.

Conduct person centred assessments of the needs of residents according to HIQA standards and professional guidelines
Involve the residents as partners in developing care plans to meet their needs
Identify strengths and needs and risks to the residents in the nursing home
Develop care plans that are based on best practice, and in accordance with professional and legal requirements
Practising within the legislation, professional regulation and guidelines and scope of practice
Implement the policies, procedures and guidelines in everyday practice activities
Comply with national standards (HIQA) and regulations governing residential care settings for older people
Respect the rights, beliefs and values of the residents in all aspects of care delivery
Act as an advocate for residents
Promote an enabling and empowering approach to caring for the residents
Maintain competence in all aspects of care delivery
Keep up to date with relevant professional and regulatory requirements and evidence based practice
Report any knowledge or competency deficits to the person in charge
Delegate appropriately to and supervise non nursing staff who are providing care to the residents
Attend staff meetings as required by the management team
Arrange and attend scheduled formal reviews of individual residents care plans with the resident/family and other staff members
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Education and Training.
Attend all mandatory in service education programmes
Participate in continuing professional development activities
Provide induction training to new staff as identified in the staff induction programme
Identify any training and education needs and report same to Person in Charge
Seek opportunities for education and training required for maintaining competence
Qualifications and Experience.
Be registered in the General Division of An Bord Altranais
Experience of Working with Older People
Evidence of Continuing Professional Development in the last two years
Skills, competencies and knowledge.
Demonstrate knowledge of HIQA standards and national regulations for residential care services for older people
Demonstrate knowledge of local policies, procedures and guidelines
Demonstrate knowledge of legislation, professional codes and standards related to practice and to caring for older people
Demonstrate ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for resident residents
Demonstrate knowledge and skills related to the safe and effective management of medicines
Demonstrate knowledge of risk management, health and safety and quality improvement processes
