Our leading Specialist Radiology Department is looking for enthusiastic and capable Staff Nurses to be a part of our highly specialised team. Barts Health NHS Trust provides the largest trauma service in the UK and interventional radiology is an integral part of that. We use the latest interventional radiology techniques and minimally invasive procedures to provide the safest and most effective patient care. Our department is busy and part of the one of the most comprehensive imaging departments in London and all of our staff work closely together to continually provide a high standard of patient care.
We offer you the opportunity to work within different clinical areas such as Interventional Radiology Theatre, Recovery suite, CT, Ultrasound. The role of the interventional radiology nurse will include scrubbing and circulating during procedures as well as safely sedating patients undergoing interventional procedures. Rotation into the Recovery area will afford opportunities to expand your knowledge in caring for patients post anaesthetics and sedation.
We are looking for a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse who have very good communication skills, proactive, is flexible and helpful and would like to become a valued member of our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your management and leadership skills. The successful candidate is expected to coordinate the Interventional Radiology Theatre list on a regular basis as well as participating in the on call rota. There is opportunity to extend the role.
