(AWP) provides inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES), Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire. We also provide specialist services extending throughout the south west.
We employ over 4,000 dedicated members of staff who deliver services from more than 90 locations, working in approximately 150 teams across a geographical region of 2,200 miles, for a population of approximately 1.8million people.

Due to a recent review of Safer Staffing Levels within the Sycamore budget we are looking for highly motivated member of staff to join an experienced friendly team here on Sycamore ward
We are very much focussed on improving standards of care and developing the in patient service in conjunction with the existing wider service and Multi-Disciplinary team. We are looking for a Registered Nurse at Band 5.
Sycamore Ward is situated within the building of Hillview Lodge, which in turn is situated in the Grounds of The Royal United Hospital . Sycamore Ward is a mixed gender ward and offers care to service users with a serious mental illness who are in crisis.
We work alongside an intensive support team, a recovery support team and a complex intervention team who are all based on site. We have a very good working relationship with these teams, which assists in optimizing the service user's care pathway. We have an established culture of inter team working which offers people who work on the site diverse experience and learning opportunities.
We are also very proud of our service user involvement in the development of our services. We have a service user involvement worker who promotes involvement at every level of our service provision. We welcome service users and carers to help shape the services, and bring a positive dimension to ward environment.
We also work along side St Mungos Charity, and have two very active move on workers on the ward daily from St Mungos. They help service users with benefits and housing.
Along side this you will be working on shifts with occupational therapists. This has been a successful innovation and incidences of aggression has decreased as a result of increased occupation and therapeutic activity.
The candidates must be innovative, dynamic and enthusiastic to be a part of a team who is looking to improve the standards of care we are offering to the service users.

Bath is in North East Somerset and is situated along the M4 Corridor. It is a short commute to Bristol, and close to the coastal town of Weston Super mare. Bath is a World Heritage Site, and has a vibrant city life, and yet is quite small so there are many countryside pursuits that are also on offer. It has excellent transport links both local and national, with Bristol Airport also only a short drive away. It is also a short Journey to some of the country's most sought after tourist spots in the South West.
