(AWP) provides inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES), Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire. We also provide specialist services extending throughout the south west.

Ward Manager Alder Rehabilitation Unit
Alder Unit is a 10 bedded mixed rehabilitation unit.
We are looking for a qualified RMN, with at least 2 years post registration experience, and have experience of working with people who present with complex, enduring mental health conditions togetherwith their families and friends in a compassionate and kind fashion.
Candidates should be expert in a range of psycho social interventions, preferably with a background in Family work for psychosis. You should be enthusiastic and motivated and possess the organisational and clinical leadership skills to lead a talented multidisciplinary team, working together and sharing expertise.
You will be responsible for delivering a high quality mental health service for our service users and their families and loved ones, with emphasis on assessment, treatment and evaluation in the ward setting. We aim to offer a collaborative, recovery based approach which offers and supports individual choice at the heart of the service.
You should be familiar with the commissioning process of inpatient units and be committed to ensuring the service is fully compliant in all aspects. Risk assessment and management is an essential part of the role as is positive risk taking and the ability to forge excellent working relationships with partner organisations and a variety of external agencies.
