The Cancer centre at St Bartholomews have some very exciting vacancies for enthusiastic and dynamic nurses looking to further their knowledge in Oncology. The posts that we have would suit both experienced nurses and also newly qualified staff as there is much to learn from the ward depending upon your experience level.
Ward 5A – has 22 beds and specialises in the care of (mainly male) patients with a range of cancers, but particularly those with prostate, testicular, lung and head and neck cancer. The ward has a reputation for excellent standards and many of our ward sisters started their careers on 5A. They are also often chosen to pilot key projects and test new ideas coming through nursing. The ward is also one of the few ward areas where patients may receive inotropic support so is a great place to develop critical care skills. 5A is a busy but exciting environment and has a great team ethos throughout all members of staff.
