This role is based with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
We currently have fantastic opportunities for a dynamic and motivated adult nurse in Gastroenterology Research . We are looking for a nurse who takes pride and ownership in delivering high quality patient centred care to join our clinical research team in a permanent post.
This role will provide regular contact with patients/ healthy volunteers and involve research that will make a real difference to future patient care. This exciting opportunity will cover a range of academic and commercial studies.
We undertake drug trials, studies that look at different interventions, studies that help us understand how the body works, how genes or lifestyle choices affect health, and studies that help us more fully understand chronic diseases or acute infections. The well-being and safety of our research patients/ participants is at the heart of all we do as is our confidence that the data we provide is accurate and reproducible.
The post offers the opportunity to learn about the practicalities of approaching patients for participation in clinical research studies. Managing research participants’ care pathways within the research programme in collaboration with their clinical team offers personal development and job satisfaction.
You will have the opportunity to further develop excellent interpersonal communication, organisation, time management, documentation skills and work with more experienced researchers. You will gain a thorough grounding in the Research Governance.
