We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and reliable Registered Nurse to join our busy Surgical Pre-assessment Clinic at Orpington hospital, part of King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
The post holder will undertake pre-operative assessments on all elective patients prior to admission, ensuring the patient is fit for anaesthetic. To fulfill the role successfully you must be adaptable and able to embrace change. You must have good written and verbal communication skills because you will be dealing with all members of the health care team in hospital and in the community. Your customer care skills must be excellent as you will play an active role in dealing with patients, relatives and members of the general public.
You must have good computer skills as a large part of the role involves the use of a PC and the subsequent IT programmes used by the Trust. You must enjoy working as part of a team as the role of the Registered Nurse is integral to the smooth running of the clinic.
