The Pain Management Centre at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital is one of the largest services of its type in the country. It provides a highly specialised and wide range of therapies, including a residential Pain Management programme and neuromodulation, to patients from local and regional areas.
We are looking for an experienced registered nurse to work as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and lead the Inpatient acute pain team. The post holder will develop nursing pain education and lead on fundamental pain management for acutely ill patients.
This post also requires an appreciation of the complex issues facing in patients with acute-chronic pain and an ability to show initiative and understanding in providing support and care for these patients. Therefore, applicants must have an innovative approach to advanced nursing practice, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and substantial leadership and management experience

The post holder will also be expected to provide professional advice to other health care professionals caring for patients experiencing acute -chronic pain and work across departmental, divisional and Trust boundaries to provide a patient-centred seamless service.
