Clinical Nurse Specialist - Palliative care
Are you ready for a new challenge within a well-established team dedicated to ensuring excellence in clinical care?
Are you passionate about teaching, training and research in Palliative and End of Life Care?
If you would like the opportunity to work within a palliative care team which promotes and supports ongoing development then look no further!
We are looking for a highly motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Palliative and End of Life Care Team at Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. The team works to support patients, their families and carers with progressive, advanced life limiting diseases requiring specialist palliative care. We have 3 teams that cover the community and both acute settings at Guy's and St. Thomas' sites.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate that they have experience in working with patients requiring specialist palliative care in various settings, being able to work autonomously and as part of a team. They will have an understanding of the complex health needs and social pressures within a multicultural and deprived inner city population.
All Clinical Nurse Specialists within our team receive regular clinical supervision and we actively encourage and support professional development through opportunities such as research and audit projects.
Due to collaborative working with our community teams, Clinical Nurses Specialists are no longer required to be on-call overnight. We are a 7-day service, resulting in a better work/life balance for all members of the team.
Closing Date 29th September 2019

Interview Date 8th October, 2019
