Job Description

We are one of the largest specialist mental health and learning disabilities trusts in the country, with an annual income of £320m and a workforce of some 6,700 staff operating from around 100 sites in Durham, Teesside, North Yorkshire and York and Selby. We provide a range inpatient and community services to 2m people living in County Durham, the Tees Valley, Scarborough, Whitby, Ryedale, Harrogate, Hambleton and Richmondshire. We also provide additional specialist services to other parts of Northern England.
We deliver our services by working in partnership with eight local authorities and clinical commissioning groups, a wide range of voluntary organisations, as well as service users, their carers and the public. The services are spread over a wide geographical area of around 3,600 square miles, which includes coastal, rural and industrial areas.

This post is being advertised to address a temporary need for 12 months however the Trust has made the commitment to offer the successful applicant a permanent contract with the Trust. We are delighted to announce an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Registered Nurse ( RNLD) to work within the Adult Learning Disability teams within Durham locality . This exciting opportunity is open to both newly qualified and established Band 5 Nurses. This busy and rewarding post provides the opportunity to work alongside multi professionals based at Greenlane Council Offices Spennymoor . The successful post holder will be enthusiastic about working with this client group, have a warm compassionate manner and an appreciation of the challenges that individuals with a Learning Disability experience. This role requires excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
