Staff Nurse ( Registered Practitioner)

Barts Health NHS Trust is one of Britain’s leading healthcare providers and the largest Trust in the NHS. It was created on 1 April 2012 by bringing together three Trusts: Barts and The London NHS Trust, Newham University Hospital NHS Trust and Whipps Cross University Hospital NHS Trust. The new Trust has a turnover of approximately £1.1 billion and approximately 15,000 employees.

Applications are invited for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to work in the Breast One Stop Clinic within breast services at Whipps Cross University Hospital. This is a full-time, permanent position working (Monday to Friday).

The post holder will be expected to build strong working relationships with the four breast surgeons, specialist breast radiologists and work alongside the breast clinical nurse specialists. The Breast Services at Whipps Cross University Hospital treats approximately 260 newly diagnosed cases of breast cancer per year and receives over 65 referrals per week, all of whom require an appointment within 14 days.
